    iPod help please!

its early, im being stupid but....

borrowing a friends ipod to put some songs on it for them, downloaded/installed iTunes, plugged in the ipod (firewire doodar)....

certain problems (note im slightly hungover which also doesnt help):

    1. how do i actually add some songs?! i tried copying some over in windows explorer, but they dont seem to appear in the iTunes thing (just copied to the base directory of the iPod... cos there were some songs there already)

    2. how do i unmount the ****ing thing!>! there are some unmount buttons in iTunes, hit one of them, it tells me it cant unmount the iPod cos some files are in use (er?) and if i try and unmount it via windows it tells me 'it cant stop the device at the moment, try again later'..

the ipod is flashing 'do not disconnect', which im not gonna do incase it stuffs the thing up...

soooo can anyone pleease help me

... ok, managed to work out the whole 'putting music on it' doing some dragging and dropping in iTunes.. managed to unmount it by killing some processes which were running, but i dont think thats the healthiest way... ho hum...

its all sorted now, i did some dragging and dropping as i thought if i told it to update songs onto my ipod (and there were none in my library) it would just delete all the songs off it...

    anyhow all is well
