out of all the macs I wish I had this one at home
□ΞVΞ□
Good day all,
I just purchased a macbook pro and I had a model year 2000 model MB149 22" cinema display that worked fine with my older macbook pro. However the monitor is not working with the new computer. I'm not a tech guy just a television producer that needs to know if there is a way to make this work or if I have to purchase a new monitor? Help..
Time for a bit of an update. I've changed quite a bit of kit since my last photo here:
Gone is the macbook, the apple 20in cinema display, the vesa desk mount, the apple keyboard, the logitech mx revolution. The VESA mount was sadly destroying the desk so I had to remove it. The ikea desk clearly isn't made well enough for all the weight.
The new kit is as follows:
Apple Mac Mini 2.53GHZ
Apple 24 inch LED Cinema Display
Magic mouse/Wireless keyboard
HP Mini 5101 Netbook
Normal atom setup, but with a high res 1366x768 screen and broadcom HD card in.
I picked the netbook a couple of weeks back and realised that two laptops was silly. The HP is far lighter so I just carry that with me all the time instead of the macbook. So I started thinking iMac's and Mini's. Whilst I like the iMac's I change my systems so often that a separate screen was a must. The 24in LED Display was a bit overkill for my needs but I love it!

I currently have the base model MacBook Pro 13" with an aftermarket hard drive upgrade to 500GB, it's a really great laptop.
I have a Mac Pro (early 2008) 2.8ghz 8-core 8GB RAM, 2x 1.5TB HDDs and two 3870's (one mac, one sapphire) crossfire'ed togther. Mainly use it a PC rather than a Mac though - sorry!
I would use the Mac side more if Apple would upgrade the OS to recognise crossfire and the emulators did a better job of Emulating Windows (I think they are getting there, but not quite yet).
Couldn't you swap out the HDD for an SSD yourself, pretty sure it would be far cheaper than getting one pre-installed by Apple.
Currently i have iMac 27" core i5
Macbook Air 1.86ghz with SSD
iPhone 3GS
When i get some time i will post some pictures
I really enjoy both of my mac machines!
Any one wants any more information let me know
I just got myself a 21.5" iMac, 3.06ghz with a 1TB hard drive and ATI Radeon 4670 graphics chip. Really enjoying using it so far, and I'm very tempted to go for one of these...

Expensive for what it is, but genius in its simplicity. Could tuck my backup drive around the back there for a completely clean workspace
Well I've got a 15inch i7 Macbook Pro and I love the thing. I intend on picking up the newly released apple cinema display to go with it. I'll try and post pictures when I have my setup in place!
Not really a mac but i just got a iPad and i have to say that it is the best thug i have ever bought! Its true that it's really expensive, but it's a ice toy if you can afford it. It has changed the way that i surf the Internet. Its just something that a laptop just can't recreate. I think that the tAblet pc didn't work because they are too big Nd too complicated. The ipad is solo simple opts unreal!!!
