    Rip Settings in iTunes

Just wondering what settings are the best for AAC, kinda the holy grail of AAC ripping that the alt-preset settings are for LAME.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    (Ps, I'm back )

i suggest reading the hydrogen audio forums for this kind of info

iirc the aac encoder in itunes is pretty middling, it's certainly not what lame is to the mp3 encoder world

If you're looking for the best quality, and you're using a PC, then you're better off using some software like CDex with a AAC codec (or just rip to mp3 using the LAME codec provided).
