Talking Price check for a 17" 1 Ghz PB with crumpler bag?

    Hi,

I was wondering how much I would be looking at getting for the items below on ebay and the like ?. Or if anyone knows any places that will buy the machines for a good price in the Midlands or London ?

    17" Powerbook

Processor: 1GHz PowerPC G4 (Level 3 cache 1MB DDR SRAM)
    Memory: 1Gb PC2700 (333MHz) DDR SDRAM (2 x 512)
    Hard drive: 60GB Ultra ATA/100
    Optical drive Slot-loading SuperDrive (DVD-R/CD-RW): writes DVD-r at 2x and DVD-rw at 1x, CD-r at 16x and CDRW at 4x
Display 17-inch (diagonal) TFT widescreen: 1440 x 900 (no dead pixels)
Graphics support: NVIDIA GeForce4 440 Go with 64MB of DDR SDRAM Wireless support: Built-in 54-Mbps AirPort Extreme (802.11g)
    built-in Bluetooth 1.1
    Ethernet: Built-in 10/100/1000BASE-T (Gigabit)
    Modem: Built-in 56K V.92
    2 USB 1.1 ports
    1 FW 400 port
    1 FW 800 port
    S-Video out
    DVI out
    PCMCIA slot
    Kensington Lock Slot

    Software

Mac OS X (10.3), QuickTime, iCal, iChat, iDVD, iMovie, iPhoto, iTunes, DVD Player, Mac OS X Mail, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Acrobat Reader, Art Directors Toolkit, FAXstf, FileMaker Pro Trial, GraphicConverter, OmniGraffle, OmniOutliner, Developer Tools, Apple Hardware Test Service

    Accessories

    Included S-video to composite adapter
    DVI to VGA adapter
    modem cable
power adapter, AC wall plug, power cord

There are no major marks or scratches on the display or on the machine itself. In the right palmrest area, there are a few scratches due to my watch bracelet rubbing against it . Also the latches that lock the screen in place when the lid is brought down is faulty. The machine was bought in June 2003 from MR Systems in London.

It will come packed in the original box, manual, Restore cd etc etc

Crumpler bag (Very Busy Man model)

This is the bag I used to transport my 17" PB around. Green bag, Black flap and orange inside lining. Have had the bag for ~9 months and rarely used. Excellent condition. No faults or tears.

Cheers for any advice etc etc

Not more than 1100 (which is stretching it!). The cosmetic damage isn't too much of a problem, but the defective latch could put off a few people. Apple needs to sit down and consider a new design for this.

My previous 15" Alu G4 started giving latch trouble 5 months after owning it...

Was that the original alu version or the improved one, as apple have now improved the magnetic latch, and also seemed to have sortred the white spot issue with the new lot.

I've got the 'improved' on here on my new 12" pbook. But the 15" Alu that gave the problem was Rev B...while Rev A had the white spot problem...
