Mmm.... Today I got £18.33 refunded to my VISA card for an item even though the invoice states that it was a non-refundable deposit.
Now *that* is customer service
Big up to the cool dude there!

No no. I pointed it out to him that it was 'non-refundable' and he's like....no worries
A very long time ago, my mum had an Apple LC-II given to her by her school (As a teacher...)
I wanted to play Doom (2? - I can't remember...) on it, but the game was too big for floppies and I couldn't afford to buy a CD-Rom.
So I phoned the Apple Centre in Leeds and they said they had it there...
I took the base unit in a rucksack to Leeds, on the bus, and took it to the Apple Centre.
They connected my base unit to their network and transferred Doom to my computer. No charge.
Now THAT'S customer service!
(The game ran like treacle, but it ran, and that's what counts!)
Today has been a very very long day. My buddy Ken has got him self a 12" pbook (no SD) and purchased a hp printer with out asking (doh!) from WHSmiths....I get a call from him saying it doesn't work...I'm not suprised at all.
He brings it over and I was able to confirm that HP included some CRAP drivers on disk and they should be sued for stating that it is OS X compatible.
So today I told him to go return it and meet me @ the AppleCenter. I got on the bus @ 3pm and got to the city center @ 4:15 - why? Some rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish job decided to jump off a bridge (near the dockyard ship thing in front of the met) so all the buses got driverted around the 'inner city loop'...
Anyways, I was dropped off @ the bottom end of the headrow and trudged to the store. We spotted the Canon PIXMA iP 1500 and Ken decided to take it. This is where the customer service kicked in...
Normally they charge 20quid for 'testing' stuff but the same guy that gave me the refund decided to do it for free....and supplied us with a USB cable wooo!
The darn printer installed so smoothly and printed amazingly quick for an inkjet that I decided to grab one my self...
Customer service always pays
Mike
