    Why they've done this and not uped the powerbooks I dont know

    You can get a similiar 12in ibook to the 12pb for £749.00 instead of £1,149.00
    For a few mhz more and a few other bits that is silly money.

    This can only be a good thing as it now drops the price of the older models on the 2nd hand market, which means I should be able to get my work cast-off ibook even cheaper.. bonus!

    yeah, but the build and general feel of the ibooks is terrible.

    + you can fry eggs on the bottom of the 12" pb if you need to bonus
