And it's a shame that Apple still can't get a decent battery into a portable music player. 12 hours on a flash based player? Having a laugh tbh . .
That mini is damn pretty!
the mini is very cool, but that new iPod looks really rubbish. No display, crap battery life and rather boring looks, no ta...
my question is: can i stick in my own hard drive and ram into the imac mini ?
The Shuffle is basically a memory stick with mp3 functions, not really much of an innovation when there's already a bunch of them on the market, however, it is one of the larger ones in that form factor.
Ram yes I think it just takes standard 2700 DDR; HDD not sure...
I'd guess it's prolly a lappy hdd in order to help the form factor.
As for RAM, yeah it's PC2700 DDR.
Although I'd want to add the Bluetooth and WiFi options
256MB of PC2700 (333MHz) DDR SDRAM, expandable to up to 1GB*Quote:

Probably be hex-bolts of some description. 512Mb upgrade for £50 isn't too bad, but a gig at £280 is just ripping the ****.

Going on http://images.apple.com/uk/macmini/i...es20050111.jpg this pic it looks easy enough to upgrade...
*edit* but look how it clips down! Plastic hooks all the way round!
Yer but it's a case of getting the clips to come out first. I'll try when we get a display one at work (12% discount here we come)
Okay as soon as I can get the damn thing in my basket I'm grabbing...
I expect a full guide to ripping the lid off it in due course
I can't even get on the damn site!!!
