Mine's already ordered. £600 down for the unit + 512mb of ram, bt, airport and superdrive (+wireless kb and dock for an ipod shuffle I got for Mom)...

You should call Apple. The website shows 26th or sooner but I called and they said Feb. 1st is a more realistic estimate.
It's fortunate i don't pay VAT on anything then :)
If people think Britain is a rip off then they should moan about the taxes, most of the difference comes from the VAT.
The point is though that even with vat their price takes the pish :)
