Ipod Shuffle and Itunes - your thoughts

i just got a ipod shuffle and it looks pretty good, i doubt i would have spent the cash on it myself but it was a birthday gift and i do a lot of running so it was a step up from my 128 cheap'o that keeps turning off!

but... itunes i think i need to use itunes to drag and drop the music on, i can't seem to be able to just copy mp3's onto the ipod... which is a bit stupid as i'm happy with my current setup of WMP10 for ripping and updating my files and winamp 2.8 for playing.

anyone else have any info or views on this?

i'm pretty sure you can get winamp plugins for use with ipods, dunno about the shuffle tho, have a look

it is great and plays and sounds lovely! i'm well pleased with it, a great gift from my parents but just the forced itunes is a problem, no dount a drag and drop program will come out in time.

as im aware youve never been able to drag and drop files on an ipod, and there now on the 4th generation... so dont hold out hope

What? You've been able to do that since 1G, you just have to turn off automatic update

this is why i didnt get a shuffle.

its a shame they wont just leave it like a normal player. i'd have brought it if so. had a play on one and thought it didnt feel up to the normal ipod standard thou..

na, the sound blows away my last mini mp3 player, loads of base and feel and looks good, just the drag and drop stuff sucks,
