    iPod Replacement

I own a generation 3 (I think) iPod that I have had for about a year and 3-4 months.

Recently I have noticed that the battery doesn't give me as much charge as it used to (it used to last about 8 hours now it only lasts around 4 hours, if that)

I'd like to know where I stand in terms of getting a replacement.

I know my warranty is out (1 year IIRC) so would Apple replace it for a charge or would they just not replace it full stop?

    Thanks for any help

Thanks for the link, very useful.

Just been looking for the pricing on their website and this is all I can find
"If your iPod requires service only because the battery’s ability to hold an electrical charge has diminished, Apple will replace your iPod for a fee....Check the Apple web site for your area or contact your Apple Service Provider for fee amounts."

Anyone know what the "fee" is exactly?

Fully recharge the battery and then do a factory reset, see if that helps.
