I entered 15 April as purchase date and Tiger is now in the basket waiting for me to complete the purchase.
Do apple not check up on these things and do we think Tiger is worth having.

Well I've ordered it now so lets hope they don't check!
Good news ;)Quote:

Just have to get the iBook repaired now :( (see the Arrrgh thread)
Even though tiger looks amazing, I seriously dont know how they can justify the price for it. Even with higher education discount, it is still nearly 60 quid for a single license. I own a mac mini, which I purchased on 1st March, and I was tempted to do the "sneaky upgrade", however looking at the Ts & Csso if garyb and stoo could let me know how it goes :D . Does anyone believe that apple may be ripping us off slightly, for those of us who already own panther. For example, it may feature new eye candy such as the ripple effect when placing widgets and its new extensive search facilities, but there are several third party solutions which add this functionality to panther, for a fraction of the price. I for one will not pay for the upgrade, although I might have a shot at blagging the free upgrade ;). I have always wondered, if it is such a major new upgrade, why not call it OS XI, then again, it would not keep the big cat flavour :pQuote:
To receive your Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger upgrade, you must complete the order form and provide a photocopy of a dated, itemised sales receipt or packing slip indicating the marketing part number(s) of the qualifying system(s) purchased on or after April 12th, 2005.
EDIT: OK, ive just tried the up to date web page, however the form is telling me that my serial number does not exist. Does this mean my mac is not registered, if so, how do I register it? CHEERS :D
Where did you buy it? The online order form is only for those customers that bought their systems from the Apple online store. The bit you quoted above is in regards to those that bought their systems from anyother store.
Yes, directly from UK apple Higher Education storeQuote:

It does save the info somewhere if you skip it, have a look in your applications directory/folder for something mentioning registration?
yep, did that, even received the email confirmation, yet still no joy :( Obviously my point is, I dont want to have to fill out the paper form as it is required you attach a copy of the invoice, and mine states it was purchased on 1st March. If I can get away using the online order without being checked, I willQuote:
