using blueooth keyboard on pc and mac

i have a sn41g2 shuttle and thinking of getting myself a mac mini to use along side, on the shuttle i use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, can i pair them with the mac mini at the same time?

i do realise that to pair something would imply i cannot do this, but i thought someone might know someway around the problem

    cheers

I very much doubt you could, bluetooth was built around the emphasis on security. For example, if a laptop user with Bt was nearby, and was able to pair with your keyboard, it could lead to all kinds of data being stolen (keystrokes, passwords, credit cards etc), therefore I am fairly certain Bt cannot be paired with more than one computer. If its an external bluetooth USB dongle, why dont you purchase yourself a KVM switch. I got mine from argos (p504 argos extra catalogue). Its a belkin low end model, however it works perfectly between my PC and mac mini. I'm sure you might find it cheaper on the net so try having a look.

yep just tried with a powerbook and can only pair with one at a time, thing is my monitor can take two inputs so thought i could avoid a switch

the keyboard and mouse are the microsoft desktop job with external bluetooth dongle so i could look into a switch then. if not i'll just dump these two and get wired ones

You have to pair with one, then disconect and pair with the other machine. I don't see this as being much of a problem though, I doubt you will be using two machines at once though.
