Got my copy of Tiger Today

Ahh, that would be the Higher Education Discounted price. The HE store can apparently only be accessed from Uni computers on JANET

It's not really cosmetic, there's a lot of stuff under the surface which makes it a lot more powerful, it's just that it's new, so most people are showing off the flashy bits at the moment..

I agree, the only thing I noticed that was cosmetically different was the blue magnifying glass next to the username on the menu, and a slighty better plastic theme in some of the apps (Im not really that keen on brushed metal). The real improvements are under the covers, and most users wont notice much, but there is a slight improvement in speed

Tiger is a little flaky at times and I was able to stop mine from crashing like almost every few hrs....

I meant the "Higher Education Store"

Tiger seems to be the same price on both these, but if you look at the price of a mac mini- £318 on the Education store, but £305 on the Higher Education store.

yes thats right there is two stores one from uni servers and one where you just enter the details - it made a difference on my iBook but its the same price on both for tiger
