Why would anyone ever want to stand on their mp3 player? :P Also I was under the impression that an ipod is much more expensive for the amount of gig you get for price.....
So you can sit it on your desk and people can drool at it when they walk past :)Quote:

one thing thats looks like a rival, is sonys upcoming PSP.
Its basically a portable playstation/music player.
Looks awesome as you would expect from sony.

The PSP disks aren't rewritable and you won't be able to get a disk burner for it for piracy reasons.
Even if you could, if would come with the DRM-software from hell - just like their existing range of god-awful mp3 players do.
I use my PDA due to it having support for pretty much every file type in existance, because of just being able to download programs for it. Then just using Hi-Cap CF cards with it, and I also have 2 batteries for it which give it battery life of over 30 hours PER battery. I want ogg, I want MOD and I want XM :)
NS
this looks like a fiarly good "clone" of the ipod:

I ended up buying the Belkin battery pack, for when I'm too stupid to remember to recharge it. So far its working great.
As for the size, I'm still suprised about how small it is, but it does feel too heavy for its apearance!
