New mac mini's and ibooks coming soon

    http://www.thinksecret.com/news/0507ibook2.html

hree new Mac mini configurations will be available in the near future, priced at $499, $599, and $699, sources say. Apple currently does not offer a $699 Mac mini configuration.

New iBook part numbers are meanwhile showing up at $999 and $1,299 price points, with the $1,499 model seemingly dropped from the line-up.
    Fingers crossed

I doubt it, Intels aren't supposed to appear until mid 2006 or so, I think

Don't see why, the first revision of any mac has lots of problems and the ppc line will be supported for some time to come

Out now poor updates on both

Oh well they've just lost a sale on the mini, I wanted decent graphics card update or one that supports os x fully at the very least.

Apple are loosing it if they think they can sell this bs to their user base. Saying you are switching to intel is bad enough but having no real updates and having one of your biggest sellers not fully support your os is plain stupid.

Good job they have the ipod or they would be screwed.

Trouble is, they are taking the "iPod halo effect" too far now.

It can only hold them up so long.

If you can put a Radeon 9600 into a laptop 2yrs ago, you can put it into a sff case today!

What doesn't the mac mini support properly?

A lot of the transistions, such as the switch user one. Not to mention the problems with it and certain vga outputs.

Underwhelmed by the mini tbh. However the ibook upgrades are nice without a shift in price. Shame about the gfx though. The 512mb memory will do the job much better than the old 256mb though.
