Best way to create a bootable CD from a *.dmg?

I've tried BootCD, but it doesn't seem to work, any ideas?

    Cheers

    Dan.

you can open DMG in Roxio's toast then burn it to CD.

Is the dmg created from a bootable CD in the first place?

U trying to install tiger onto your PC aren't you? Can't remember the name of the application I used.
I did it by following a guide I found but it didn't work for me.

No, i've purchased Volumeworks, which (as you probably know) is analogous to Partition Manager, i need a bootable CD to boot to, to resize the partitions...

    Cheers

You could try using a W98 boot floppy which will let you access the cd.

I'm wanting to do the same now....I'd like a backup copy of tiger to dvd, however the mac mini only has a cd burner...therefore I'll need to burn it from an .iso using my dvd burner on windows....i found this site http://www.macosxhints.com/article.p...40121135301830 useful

That's great, it works - the only problem is that when i burn it (the iso) using Burn4Free for example, nothing appears on the disk.

    Cheers for that, though!

    Regards

    Dan.

almost all free CD burning tools on windows are GUIs for the open source cdrecord/mkisofs tools, which can't manage files on a dvd image larger than 2gb.

This is 13Mb, it just will not burn for love nor money... It does everything as normal but the disk is empty... I burned an .iso of ubuntu for my mac, using an xp machine and it worked first time...
