    appleworks

    just a few questions really.

anyone use it? does anyone rate it?
is it better or worse than word?
does it have support for the word .doc's etc?

and is it worth the bargilicious st00dent price of £38?

oh and i take it it will be happy with my iBook G4, 1.2 PPC, 512mb running on tiger?

I have used appleworks before, because its the only drawing tool that comes with the mac when you purchase it. But...saying that...you'll soon be wanting to get office 2004...appleworks is quite old fashioned and looks rather dated now...If you just want to write word docs...have you looked at Apple Pages(iWork)? I use that, simply because I already have office 2003 on the pc, and it would be pointless having office on both.
