    anyone use iWorks?

    i know everyone is gonna tell me to use office but is iWorks a good alternative for presentations and word processing?

    Yup, a tad on the slow side tho, but it does everything word does, and its free!

    It's the complete office package, it has Excel, Powe****** etc etc.

    Give it a try and see how happy you are that you saved money

    iWork is not an Office competitor, it has a word processor / DTP packaged rolled into one (Pages) and a presentation package (Keynote). It isn't as hardcore a word processor as Word is, but it's pretty reasonable. I think it's hard to beat Keynote for presentations.

    from what ive seen of keynotes its amazing and knocks the socks off powe****** - and i have a presentation coming up at uni - but its a group one and there all gonna be on windows with powe****** - grrrr

    The only thing Keynote does better than Power Point is 3D cube spins, as well as not having utter dirge excuses for templates built in. The web publishing features of Power Point are incredibly powerful, not to mention the integration with the rest of the Office range.

    R p o i n t is/was an annoying spam referral site, it seems it's still in the filter. I'll try and get it fixed.
