    iBook trakpad

i use my iBook ALOT - all my essays including the biggies and general surfing etc etc is used on it and has done for the last year

my question is do the trackpads have a life to them? mines feeling sluggish and unresponsive. its like im trying to use a trackpad made of sandpaper - lots of resistance and really difficult - it no longer glides

is this me? or do they have a life expectancy?

and if it is on the way out anyone know how much £££

    cheers cheers

i never use it, i bought a little trackball... I think the trackpad is the worst thing about the ibook. It just doesn't work properly i find, ok my hands do tend to be grimey/greasey (due to working in the lab at uni) but it's just cack!

have u tried to clean the trackpad?

its probably a good idea to buy spare/repair trackpad parts from ebay and replace your current one.

An external mouse is ideal, I dont actually use laptop trackpads very much, they are useless!
