    Linux on Ipod 5G?

I have a Ipod 5G, the one with 2.5" color tft and that supor tvideo mp4 and h.264, and I have listened that there a way to put Linux as SO of Ipod's, and that this could let Ipod play .wma, .wmv, .mpg and .avi files, so as .txt, .doc and .jar2 files. Is it true? If yes, how can I instal Linus in my Ipod?

Ohter question, Ipod 5G has 64k or 256k colors in his screen? I've read in some reviews that it has 64k and in others that it has 256k, and it looks more to me a 256k screen than a 64k. I just wanted to be sure. thanks for all

    Right.

    Check out www.ipodlinux.org

You cant play wma, wmv, mpg files. You can play uncompressed AVI files (which are about 40meg per minute on my nano, so maybe 60mb per minute encoded for a larger screen).

ipodlinux is still in early development for photo ipods and so you might want to give it a few months/whatever, before you try it otherwise you may break your ipod

also your signature is *far* too big, if a mod sees it it'll prolly get removed
