For anyone using a Mac you must get this IM app. You can use Gmail , MSN , ICQ and Yahoo messenger all at once with a fantastic layout and easy to use system.

Recently switched back to AdiumX from Proteus. Can honestly say it is much better, not sure why I stopped using Adium in the first place anyway.

Using it as well now. Much better than Proteus

I used to use Adium, but it kept messing up conversations with multiple people, especially if I was having multiple conversations of multiple people. It was most odd. Consequently I no longer trust it and reverted back to the MS software.
