Messenger Programs on Mac via Lan

    Ok so rather obscure.

But i have MSN 5.0 for mac and adiumx, but both will not connect (as is the same for skype).

I am at uni, connected via the ethernet cable. All internet etc works (am typing from my mac now) but not these programs.

Can anyone help me with any suggested solutions; i have tried messing around with the proxies and using the http:// script for the durham university lan. But still nothing will connect.

The sooner this gets the happier i will be

    Cheers
