    TheAnimus has a clear and extreamly valid point, privilage esculation is a serious threat.. this means that software which is exploitable, even while running as a non-root user can gain root privilages.

    Could have been an interesting thread started by our resident macopath, shame it degenerated so quickly. I agree that apple need to start taking a long, hard look at the security of their systems as they do become more popular.
