I installed an update and it won't boot now - easy way to uninstall it?
It won't boot at all?
Not around too often!
It boots, does the grey screen, then does the Starting OSX, then the blue wallpaper but won't load anything after that.
Press the shift key when booting up to get into safe mode then you should be able to get rid of the app.
What were you installing?
osx/security
Shift didn't work looks like a reinstall
I never install any Microsoft updates! Never have! Never had a problem (Yet).
Shame this is a Mac...
This may help

And koolpc you are more likely to have a problem not installing updates than if you do.
People like you should be banned from using the inter-network.Originally Posted by Koolpc

A problem that you are aware of that is...
Very nice for you KoolPC, but this is still about a problem David has had with his Mac.. and nothing to do with if you trust a microsoft update install or not..
Mac's and OSX are made by Apple, in case you hadn't noticed, NOT Microsoft..
David: Have you tried going in with the recovery thingy from the OSX CD? It might be a permissions thing tied itself in a knot..
