Best browser for Mac OS 9?

    hello,

got my apple 4400/200 running again, (in it's own case this time )
anyway - it's got IE 4.5 on - it IE 5 the best browser for Mac os 9 ?

I've got Opera 6 on, and Netscape 4.5?

Will IE 5 be more compatible with sites that use Java? IE 4.5 doesn't seem to want to work with sites with Java on ... - also i tried to get flash but the page seemed to just display the code

    josh

Try getting Apple's java download for OS 9?

Have you tried iCab? That was supposed to be a promising/small/fast browser for Macs, until Safari beat it up on X...

I've got a PM 9500 with a 185 (180, but it shows up as 185 in the Profiler) MHz 604e card in....and IE 5 isn't great, I must admit...but then Safari on my iBook 700 running Jaguar just doesn't have the immediacy of MyIE on any number of 'doze PCs.

So yeah, with the hardware you have....5 is probably OK!

Have a look on lowendmac.com for a browser roundup a few months ago, IIRC.
    Well Hello!
