HI
I am looking to register a couple of domain names for my children.
How do I go about it?
Who should I use?
What should I look out for?
Is one service more "apple friendly" than another?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

1) How do I go about it?
2) Who should I use?
3) What should I look out for?
4) Is one service more "apple friendly" than another?
1) Find a suitable company e.g. http://www.123-reg.co.uk, check whether your domain is available, and if so, just register it by following instructions on the site.
2) See above!
3) A good price and a good reputation - some companies like to make it difficult for you to transfer your domain name.
4) Not really. I don't see how any service for domain name registration can be particularly Apple friendly.
"Well, there was your Uncle Tiberius who died wrapped in cabbage leaves but we assumed that was a freak accident."
I use UKReg. They're a good service and helped me no end when I had the nightmare of transferring a name from a seemingly defunct registrar from years back.
"apple friendly" by that I am really refering to web hosting as opposed to domain name registration.
Thanks for the tips.
