New Additions to the Apple Store

Well, Apple have sneaked in some new items to the Apple Store. The new imacs are out, featuring the core 2 duo chips and a new 24" model.

I thought they would have announced it first at next weeks event.

I have noticed though that on the website, when you choose a mac mini, you can't add a superdrive to the base model. This was an option before the updates but now it seems if you want an internal dvd writer, you have to go for the higher spec model (unless its possible to get one from a mac retail store)

Yes quite right, other companys have core2 laptops, HP dell etc.. Apple will start too loose custom if they don't update very soon.

be interesting to see in what specs the movies will be downloaded, man on my bb connection it wuld take forever!

I really can't see Apple offering the disney movies for download in any format other than the .mp4 ipod format. On the US itunes music store they have TV shows available for download in the ipod video format.

My suspicion is that there will be a new box for under the telly for you to play your freshly purchased films on.

Glad to see they've added FW800 support to the higher end iMac as well.

Not that I can afford one, mind.

    Booooo.
