Heh - thats what I did when I upgraded my G4, much simpler!
G4 PowerMac - Tiger 10.4 - 512MB RAM
MacBook - 2Ghz - 1GB RAM - 120GB HDD

do you know what the latest quicktime i can get for mac os x 10.2.8? - it seems stupid that i have to upgrade to a later version of OS X just so I can run the quicktime ads on apple.com's website...!?

The latest version will be whatever the software updater gives you I would presume!
