Do you mean creating a DVD video disc, that when played will play your slideshow?

If so I think that you should be able to do it fairly easily using a DVD authoring application such a Nero. I have an OEM version that I got for £5 that has that feature.

The other way you could do it is to create a data disc that will autoplay in a windows box and show the slideshow.

Roxio Toast can do it, "Motion Pictures HD" will create the slideshow and burn it to DVD.

So it's a case of it's easy to do if you have the right software and the Macs do not ship with this sort of software built in.
