I'm very interested in how well this device plays Divx and x264 also if it supports VS1 EVOB - doubtful seeing as they take up a huge ammount of bandwidth!

From the keynote speech, the apple tv does look very limeted.

Exactly... I think the apple TV is a gimmick and as such is not worth its price tag.

It has also killed off any chance the mini had of getting HDMI connectivity. Such a shame
