Its just that they are a bit bigger and it might not be the most popular size. Anyway - they are on now. Will see how I get on, seemed fine driving back, but I took it easy as they need bedding in.

Well people say you need to take it easy the first few hundred miles. Whatever that is called.

Well I can imagine that when you start driving and put stresses through the tyre it gets conditioned to them in certain directions. Found something online:

I've actually had that road resurfaced before (Reported to council). Also reported a few other potholes and they got filled. Was driving past there tonight and took a photo of the culprit (size 9 shoes provided for scale ):

    Here is the damage:

    I'll report it now.

Same as what happened to Mum's car - Volvo v70, think its got Pirellis on, though not too sure. Wouldn't let her drive it, got the RAC out to change the tyre (I certainly wasn't gunna do it as thats one of the reasons we've got home start ).

Thought it might have been a pothole that caused it, then found out she'd driven into a curb the day before

Reported. Mentioned my bill and linked to my post with piccies here. We'll see what comes out of it. I presume it will be fixed fairly soon. My mum drives that way will ask her how long it will take them.

That's the first time I've heard the p6000 called ditchfinders

The Pirellis on my bike have been excellent though...and the PZeros for cars are meant to be quite good too...

I don't think it was "shipped" with them. After all its 8-9 years old. Yeah, that hole is lengthways along the road - so you get plenty of chance to dip the wheel into it to get just the right angle for maximum damage.
