I guess the moral is, don't try a burnout in a mid-engined car unless you know what you're doing. I ran an MR2 for four years, but I was far too tight to ever deliberately wear out my tyres.

It wasn't even a Turbo though, having owned a MR2 turbo for about a year and a bit, they can be a handful - I span mine once in what I'd class as a monsoon but that was it. That guy was just a complete idiot. It wasn't anything to do with the car veering or anything, there definitely wasn't a loss of traction, it was just him complete lack of common sense.
