    Phwoar....

Well then the first car to my name (and admittedly not as pristine looking as joshwa's)

I don't think I've done too badly, I quite like it as well, reminds me of the delourean
2 things that are sort of not working (and common problems with these cars) are the motors or something to pop up the head lamps has knackered and the info centre computer doesn't seem to work so I don't know how much fuel there is

Lovely lovely Volvo 480 ES 2.0i
May need to wait a bit for them to load...

    http://usera.imagecave.com/muddyfox4...o/P1010003.JPG

Its a bluish colour tho supposedly 'metallic grey' these are the photos the seller sent to me, but i can't take any pictures of it on my drive as i don't have a camera that works lol.

Spent a good 4 hours cleaning up the inside this morning especially difficult with dog hairs

It's not perfect but for #300 it's not too bad in my opinion engine is in good nick and there has been a new cambelt, exhaust and filters put in recently

I guess I could have got it for a bit less if I really was pushing, but I'm happy with it for the price I paid; I can't believe how cheap these cars are

    Ian

I'm going to try sort out these two problems first but then I'm gonna give it a proper clean outside and use some of this auto clay stuff to see how well it works

That's awesome, somewhat different for a first car, I'll admit I know nothing about them!

Is it really necessary to have two air vents per side?

    What a piece of junk.

Did you rip off the guy you bought it from as well?

And why are you posting pictures of the banger you've bought when you say you can't use the internet for 'leisure activities?'

I thought it was a bit different, you dont see too many of them around, I didnt want something like a 306 or something too common lol.

Haha, of course they are definitely needed, why else would they put them there? well i better check that both the vents work first, as the car was known to have rather feeble air throughput lol.

Wow what a cool car to have for your first car! My mum had the 1.7 I think and really really liked it! Seemed to go like stink as well and I must admit that I do quite like the pop up lights as well! The computer on my mums worked fine and was really quite useful! Its a shame you only find similar systems now on BMW's and lexus's I think back then they were seen as causing a lot of problems so sort of died as a concept, I could be wrong though!

Am I the only one that thinks you are way outta line?

muddyfox - I must admit I see the resemblance between the new C30 and the 480, and I bet, even though it was a 2l, your insurance was pretty damn cheap (compared with other 2l cars, anyhow).

    arbitor,

Don't take it into your own hands, got a complaint about a post, use the report post to moderator button its what it's there for.

There is no need for that, don't thread hijack, create your own next time please.

jay_oasis, you can post what you want, but put it in your own thread, there is no need to hijack someone elses thread, that is of course unless I am not reading the title as phwoar... and its actually post your car here.

No didn't think so, please be considerate next time.

    Why bother posting?

Got a grudge, take it elsewhere, post like that again and get a holiday from here.
