    The best car seat?

So... which car, has the BEST seat. I am putting one in my room - computer chairs only last me a year or two before they get ripped and the foam goes.. but car seats are designed for sitting and must be a lot better.

I got a saab 9000 leather manual adjust seat from the breakers. It looks almost new, feels perfect... but there must be something better in a car Ive never sat in.... I bought it for the headrest.. when playing games half asleep at 3am, its awesome. Its also from an L plate, with no tears or cuts, looks and feels like new.. only its a bit musty where it might have got a little wet, since that door couldnt shut properly with a car on top.

So these are the cars I have done a lot of sitting in... the older cars I cant remember

1991 9000: the seats in my car, 16 years old, look almost new. Eleccy adjust, is awesome (break time sleep at work), but no good if I put the chair in my room.

1999 celica is very nice too. BUT I dont like the extended backrest instead of a headrest. not too good for sleeping/resting.

1995 Fiesta, fabric seat. The only good thing about it is the huge amount of side support and comfortable backrest. Not very adjustable though, and crappy headrest that is too far back to be usefull.

2001 Primera: Fabric, not very comfortable backrest, although lots of adjust thingys. Strangely its quite nice to rest in as a passenger on long journeys.

So, what else is there? I will be at the breakers again this week (looking for more saab stuff) BUT I will try out other cars.

Why not - I'm sure you (or someone you know / can find) can rig them up to work from the mains. Or keep a car battery in your bedroom...

there wouldnt be much point.. AND you will need a computer of sorts to do the memory presets... which is the main good thing about eleccy seats.

Note that any seat at the breakers... even out of a 07 plate crash damaged car.. in perfect condition (possibly unused if its passenger side!!!).. might only set you back £30

The best I've ever sat in are the ones from the current M5 (they may be used in other 5 series) sooooo comfy. Plus you could rig the active bolsters up as force feedback!

200sx S14/S14a seats - leather and the most comfyest seat I have ever had to sleep in! Slept like a baby. No aches of any kind the next day, or after a 12 hour drive.
