Im saving up for my first ever car, and was wondered what you think i should get, i was thinking about a 1.3SR nova. But what do you think of them and is there anything better. I got about £1000 (or will have) to spend.

anything but a nova
for a grand you can get a lot better than a Nova SR ( you'll have a job finding one that hasn't been thrashed )
you could always but my Rover Vitesse for £700 , but thats possibly not the most suitable 1st car
why not look at somethign like a pug 106 Rallaye (- fast and should be in your budget )

I dont know much about Nova's (except how much I hate them ) but I think you can do a lot better for £1000.
Try checking autotrader, theres a hell of alot of choice for that price bracket mate.
I'd also say consider ford, but then thats cuz I like ford's. but they are pretty cheap to buy and parts are easily found for them.
can't beat a decent mk4 escort 1.3 for a 1st car. cheap to insure, you can get a damn nice one for £1000.
