Lets not forget it's not a rover by design, rather by badge. It's an Indian car, Tatra I think, could be wrong though.

Not suppost to be a bad car, as far as town cars go, but it's yet another car in a crowded sector.

I don't think it looks that bad, but could do with being lower. The steering wheel is yuck, but the rest of the dash looks ok. Nice to see a shelf, a rare thing in these days of airbags (as I am sure everyone knows the passanger side of modern dashs are designed to not store stuff, incase the airbag is needed ).

I just hope those switches by the gearstick arn't for the windows, I hate leccy window switches that arnt on the doors, could just be me though.

I sat in one the other day.

Its the switches for the front and rear windows... nice that they have full electric windows.

I'm the other way around, the switches want to be on your free driving hand, unless your left handed which I aint, dunno if that makes a difference...

    the outside looks ok.
but the inside looks like a 10year old nissan/toyota corrola type of car. (especially the seats)

hope it sells though and makes rover some money. they seriously need to update their 25/45 cars - what happened to that new 45 series car i read about 12/24 months ago?

wonder whether we'll see it though?

kas are a little dated apparently in comparison - simply cos they've been around without a facelift for 7 or 8 years or something.. i'd personally rather have a ka, but the cityrover kinda things are meant to be a bit better..

Ka 0wns that citybunkfest in every way - its a bit bigger, its far better performing in both speed and handling, and it looks far better. What more you want?

The fact it aint had an update in 7 years proves exactly how good it is.

Hey Tumble; don't you own a ford?

The City Rover is made by Tata in India where it (apparently) sells really well. I haven't seen one in the flesh yet, but then I've only seen two streetwise as well.

I guess the philosophy is that Rover can expand their range with minimum outlay - I don't blame them tbh as if you're as big as they are with as much negative money as they have, you want a range of cars that will appeal to as many people as possible.

Rover have also signed an agreement with Proton which, by the sounds of it will end up being rather like the Honda/Austin arrangement; it's a good sign as Proton originally shunned Rover when they were approached after the BMW bust up.

It's also a good sign because it means that Rover might be able to get access to Lotus, and we all know that there's some pretty decent stuff that comes out of their workshops

incidently, what does everybody think of the facelift ZT?
