    how long does NCB last?

i got rid of my car last August, and i've not been insured on anything since, i have 4 years NCB and i dont want them to run out. i cant really afford to buy and run another car atm, with the decorating off the house. so would the easiest way to keep my NCB alive, buy a cheap or get a free banger, that can sit on my drive and be declared sorn, insured TP only?

It depends on the company I think. Admiral/Elephant (who are inevitable always the cheapest for me) allow two years. I was in the same position this month, hence my recent car purchase.
