I used to use a fantastic Sony DAB head unit before I got a new car and the JVC double DIN unit.
Still got it just in case I end up with another car with a single DIN slot.

Ok well that was fun. Not a *single* set of instructions I'd read anywhere on the interwibble were entirely accurate - and I thought I'd got them all licked. Actually it wasn't too bad, but I had to unexpectedly scrounge around for a torx bit to undo the OEM cage and then take off the glove compartment in order to sort the cables and bolt it securely in place.
But that's all done and I'm happy with it for the price - it is quite a bit clearer than the OEM, but it's also a bit treble and bass heavy even on supposedly 0/0/0 settings (makes it sound quite nice subjectively, but loses a little mid-range detail). All in all I'd recommend it.
