I have been very lucky and never had my car vandalised in that way. However I just spent 3hrs cleaning my car ... fairly worried now, LOL.
Really depresses me that you work so hard for something - just for someone else to have it damaged

Of course not - why would you think my post endorsed vandalism? The point was to try and find out if there was some reason behind the damage to prevent it from happening again.so it's okay to do hundreds of pounds of damage to something if they use a public space that you want to use? can i stomp on your face if you have a picnic in the patch of park i want to?
its an awful feeling. i woke up a few years ago to find that someone had spray painted my car. doodles all over the bonnet and a long line down the side. blue paint on a silver car. Fortunatley, they had used crappy paint and it t-cut off... i felt so relieved! it's so frustrating though, and a waste of my time getting it off. i'm just glad it didnt cost any money.
i've some pics at home, maybe i'll post them later.
Thats what worries me wherever I leave my car that it will get trashed or vandalised. So sorry to hear and see your keyed mate, thats very horrible. People are just jealous and do things for the sake of it without rhyme or reason.
I have a 'car park' dent in my door, just haven't had time to get it seen to. Plus I work on, if its already dented, might less likely be dented or messed with again. Annoys me though.
I feel your pain dude, I really dont get why people do it. If it makes them feel big, how does that work??? They're demoting themselves in society. I get worried anytime I leave my boat anywhere, even if its in a country village (not the kind of place you would expect to have vandals.) My dads boat got dismasted, shrouds cut, bottle screws stolen, and then had the mast thrown in a hedge (it was a carbon fibre mast, so expensive piece of kit.) Wasnt too pleased to say the least.
How frustrating!!! Can't stand things like that...bloody backward boys!
