Last July someone ran into me and in October, through my acting solicitors they admitted complete liabilty. However I am still waiting for my £100 excess to be returned to me and every time I contact my insurance company and solicitors I am told that all paperwork has been sent to the third parties insurance company so nothing more can be done apart from continually chasing them up for a cheque. Moreover I am told that if I start court proceedings to get my money it will probably take even longer to complete. Do these things normally take this long?
I have been waiting for this cheque to arrive now for nearly five months from when they accepted liabilty and I feel helpless and very frustrated to know what else I can do to end this matter. I feel that the third parties insurance are just dragging their heels on this. Can anyone offer any advice?
