I know what you mean, but as far back as i can remember the interest (at least for me) has only ever been 50% on track, the rest is all about teams, tyres, strategy, politics, friends, enemies, money....
Friends of mine who have no interest look at the TV and say "it's just cars going around a track" but for me it's always much more than that.
That said, i don't think alot of the recent stupid antics has been very professional.
Just the Same as MSIC - the race is the icing on the cake - but the rest of the background is the blocks that the races are built on - HOWEVER the bollo$% that have been going on this year have been a little childish and doesn't seem to me to be much more than a willy waving contect between Flavio + "loonies" and Mosley/ecclestone
