Might be worth asking owners if it's one of those cars that needs to be run regularily to ensure it doesn't break. It'd be a shame to buy it for weekend use only to discover it can't stand still for more than two days.
filberts suggested motor is a daily driver and reliable if you see what I mean....

A while back I was struggling to decided between the Fiat Coupe 20vt and VW Corrado VR6, I test drove both and unfortunately it still didnt make my decision any easier.
Although the Fiat was a lovely looking car and had insane torque I was charmed by the Corrado and ended up getting it over the Fiat.
The Fiat Coupe's dont seem to have held there value as well so these days you can get a stonking turbo for very little money! total performance bargain!
I believe the 16v turbo engines are actually derived from the lancia 4 cylinder turbo lump which was a mighty strong engine, the 5 pot 20vt is all fiat made I think, produces a lovely sound to
