Renault Clio MkII - Ignition Coil

Dear all

It seems like my girlfriend's ignition coil(s) have gone. Really struggling in 2nd and 3rd gears. Taken it to local Renault and after forking out £90 for the diagnostic test (), they said it was either that or the spark plugs. Looking around online, coils seem to be a recurring problem.

Trying to cut back on costs a bit, anyone know a cheaper place to source them? Renault haven't quoted us yet (they want to try the plugs first) - but trying to do some damage limitation.

Any local motor factor should be able to help you. A set of plugs would be cheap enough so why not change them at the same time? It could also be the HT leads too.

+1 on doing the sparks yourself as they are cheap enough, means you can try the plugs then do the coils if needs be
