    Re: Hello again!

    Who are you?

What colour is your new car by the way? I keep seeing a silver/goldy type colour one but don't think it's yours since it doesn't look like you driving it.

Smart Roadster = Blue & Black

Not seen you zipping about recently.

    Re: Hello again!

Ah blue and black, I've made a mentle note to wave when overtaking

Popped my shoulder out again a few weeks ago so wasn't driving for a couple of weeks. Had some electrical issues since then though fixed now, just in time for the crap weather. Picking up my new toy tomorrow so can't complain!

So how are you finding the gearbox in the Smart? I have to admit I've always loved the styling, particularly the roadster coupé, but the gearbox has always put me off.

    Re: Hello again!

Don't get me wrong... it's not perfect...
However, it is nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be.

It's no caterham, but its like a little go kart.
If I want quick, I take the golf (dyno'd at between 326 and 340bhp and lots of torques), coilovers etc. but if I want fun, roof off driving, then I take the smart.

    Loving it.

Sounds good! Had no idea the Golf was tuned, should imagine it's pretty handy. Any track days with it?

The next Goodwood Breakfast Club meet is for soft tops, see you there or convoy down?
