Yeah but Clios are such fun to drive! So small and agile. Nowt wrong with the Brava mind, but don't be seduced unnecessarily. It'll probably use a bit more fuel too.

I'm not trying to piss on your cornflakes, but I like Clios and it'd take a really good alternative to prise me out of mine....

1.2 in a car the size of a Brava? That'll be fun when loaded up.. :\ I'd take one over a Clio though

Thanks Rave, and I know exactly where your coming from, I love my Clio, it's been a fantastic little Car and yes, such fun to drive I will be sorry to it go, however my reasons are monetary. The windscreen needs replacing on the Clio to get it through the next MOT - £75 if I went throught my insurance, Jon can't do it as it's a bonded screen.... and tbh I was loathe to spend any more money on it.... as it means being stuck with it for another year or so, I use my Car for work, travelling in between Childrens centres, and I also take Children from work in my Car on trips out, am not sure how much longer I can trust it's reliability - though I appreciate I have no clue about the Brava's reliability, but that's a chance I have to take.... the Brava cost £50! from Jon's Boss who agreed to take it from a lad with more money than sense, who had just bought a new Car and couldn't be arsed with it... J's Boss didn't even want money for it, saying he'd only got it with me in mind anyway, so we gave him the money to cover what tax was left.

And I can always keep the Clio for a bit, just in case I decide I really don't like it

Aye well, best of both worlds then, can't argue with £50. It'll be much nicer than a Clio for transporting people about, expecially as your sons are getting big now. We've done a 4-up booze cruise in the Clio a couple of times, it coped but only just!

I had a Fiat Brava 1.6 sx auto!!! Loved it up until the cam belt (sp) went lol Annoyingly I was on my to the garage to fix it when that happened

A friend of mine has the same one as you now have, and has had engine trouble with it. But i think that may be because he allowed things to go on without getting them repaired. Since your married to a mechanic I don't think you will have any trouble.

Re: Great being married to a Mechanic!

Nice car - especially for the money.... The original Brava/o had a pathetic 1.4 12v engine in it that was terrible, no power and drank the fuel. For the revised (Mk2) Brava/o range Fiat swapped that engine with the 1.2 16v one from the Punto Sporting tuned to 80 bhp, by all accounts quite nippy but also quite efficient too.

I've driven those.. the 1.2 16v is ok actually.

Careful with the gearbox....it'l feel... clicky... compared to the Clio's clunky.

Nie car though... and nice colour.

    SHELLEY....CLEAN IT MISSUS !!!

don't see why you wouldn't want to drive the digger in the background. the children would probably love to be driven around in the digger

on a more serious note, kind of a cheeky request really. could you possibly measure the gap between the floor to the base of the steering wheel. this car is on my list for cars i would probably get, i havent found one around yet to see if i can fit in it.

thats only if you don't mind, no biggie if you don't.

Haha the littlies would love the digger, not sure how many booster seats it will fit

And of course I won't mind measuring it for for you The Car is still in the Garage but will ask the Man who can, to measure it, if that's ok

And yes Zak! cleaning the bugger is top of my list... well! delegating the job is at the top of my list, seeing as I have a teenage Son not doing a lot over the next 7 weeks

If it helps they have adjustable steering column height and adjustable seat height, the Bravo/a range was very comfy driving position developed by the Ergonomics Dept of Loughborough University IIRC. (Don't ask - my brain is full of random rubbish accumulated over the years)
