Well, it was a dark and wet pit full of rubbish.
I have....
Replaced the roof.
Rewired it and added 3 strip lights.
Put the racking/workbench in
hung all the bicycle stuff in the roof space
Coated the floor in polyurethane paint
Just need to get a late 80s ford in there.
More when the paint cures hard.... which will be a long time in this weather.
If I had one of those.... oh yes. No more garages.
Did you paint yourself into a corner?

The problem with tiles in a working garage is the bits in between. Resin is the way forward
Bit of storage. Might hang the other two bikes but the wheels need to come off else they dangle at head height and it really is a pain fitting them every time I want to pop out.
I didn't think it'd fit in. However, with 2 bags of sand, a bag of cement and my girlfriend sitting in the boot (who didn't take to being told she was needed as some extra weight toooo badly
Somewhat nicer working on an engine when you can feel your fingers. Although it is slightly annoying needed a step ladder to reach things.

May I suggest that whilel you're working on the car you stuff newspaper along the bottom of the garage doors to seal ther drafts, and get a nice oil filled radiator in there for warming it through an hour before work.
It'll be a whole lot more civilised
I've suffed poly block around the roof and, when it's warm enough, i shall be filling any gaps with expandable foam. Just waiting on some heavy duty rubber strip to go around the door too.
Got a 3Kw fan heater mounted on the wall at the moment with the thermostat set to lift the chill off.
along the bottom edge of my garage door I have screwed a long strip of floor vinly. You know the stuff you put down in your kitchen? Well, I cut a long strip of it that I found in a skip... and screwed it the length of my door. Is flexes like a wiper blade to open and close the door ok, but it also keeps the wind out AND the leaves AND in the snow it stopped it melting into the door area...
What garage is complete without something stolen out of a skip?
