Quick update..... cylinder head work
Managed to swap the old carb (Methanol.... well duh !! :p and an inlet manifold) for a set of heads (in need of work) and a Turbo 400 box.....
Heads are Oval port, hence the sale of the manifold (which was rectangle port - and wouldnt have started to work until 6500), in a very sorry state, rusty, bare and need welding and machining due to a dropped valve - BUT - they are one of the best casting numbers for a BBC and flow VERY well....
Couple of pics - highly exciting !
Nothing really exciting here..... ;)

Err HELLO..... how big are these :D
Inlet on left, Exhaust on right, undercut for greater flow as well, not cheap at £15 a pop though, and im only using these as dummies due to the work I need to do in the ports and chambers

And just to give you an idea of scale, this is a 50p sitting on the inlet valve
