Origin b2 gets my vote (along with lots of other people) about 300-350ish, I paid 320.

Often in second place is the RoadAngel.

I've played around with Road angel a bit, and its brilliant! GPS is the way to go. Tho like Cocopops said, the Origin B2 is apparently better, as it has more features. (couldn't tell you anything about the features tho!)

    David,

just make sure you get one with laser detectors and the static cameras my dad's got the road angel with both in and its pretty decent, although i hate wires going round in my car and if you are the same pay a bit more and get it properly installed so its much more covert.

The Origin b2 is smaller than the Road Angel and is easy to install.

It has a small cradle that you leave in the car (concealed wiring) and then you just remove a cigarette box sized unit from the car each time.

It connects via a serial lead to your PC for updates, or you can buy the Origin modem for updates etc.

    TiG, laser detectors are useless.

Due to the fact lasers work at the speed of light, you can't react quick enough once lased. In fact when they lase you, the machine actually does it several times, but it's still got your speed in less than 0.3 seconds. By the time the warning's gone off, they've got all the evidence they need for a prosecution.

The only useful tool to have when dealing with lasers is an automatic garage door opener...

Laser detectors are only good for detecting the 'splatter' off of a car infront, that's the only way they are useful. If your got directly with it your screwed.

What would a garage door opener do to help you?
