    Alarms: How Can I Find Out...

    What alarm my Dad has got on his car?

    All I know is that it's a Scorpion alarm that complies to BS9803... I can post pics of the keyfob if needed. I think thats got a code on the back of it too... will this help identify it?

    The reason being is that I am getting his car soon and I want to know for insurance purposes...

    You may find that the model is not that important. The only time an insurance company has cared what make or model my alarm is they wanted a copy of the Thatcham installation certificate anyway. Normally insurers just want a yes or no to the "has it got an alarm ?" question.
