Hi All
My 1993 1.2 renault clio always overheats at the moment and I suspect it's the thermostat, or there may be an air block somewhere.
I first noticed it driving to cornwall but ignored it because I needed to get there and back and I have AA membership so it wasn't an issue if I broke down and the car isn't worth anything to me.
Now the car is home I'd like to get the issue sorted, reading around it seems it's the thermostat, an air bubble in the pipes or the pump which has gone. I'd like to test the thermostat first, does anyone have any idea where it would be in the enging compartment?
My other concern is that I've damamged/warped the cylinder and or head gasket by letting it run too hot, is there any way I would be able to tell if this is the case?
Thanks in anticipation
Andy
